Kyle Mollica Takes Early Bird Win On Long Pond Harwich

It was a cool morning (40 F.) @ Long Pond, Harwich on Sunday, October 14, 2018 & we had a mild west wind, at 5-10 mph, with cloudy skies. But, it did manage to get to (59 F.) at the weigh-in.
All anglers said it was a tough bite and most fish were not cooperative. Judging for the weights that will hold true. A total of 27 bass were weighed in w/a combined weight of 59.79 lbs. for an average weight per fish at 2.21 lbs.
When the scales were closed, new ABA member KYLE MOLLICA, fishing his 1st ever ABA tournament, was crowned the CHAMPION and his limit bag blew away the field at 12.70 lbs. anchored by a 3.92 lbs smallie. Kyle indicated he caught all smallies in (65 F.) water temps. in 25' - 30' feet of water, drop shotting a swimbait.

The big bass of the tournament was weighed in by Eli Delany and the smallie weighed in at 4.29 lbs. This is getting to be a habit for Eli as he manages to weigh in some quality big bass at most Division 5 events, congrats Eli.

By the way, we welcomed new ABA member, Darryl Sampson to our ranks and he too fished his 1st ABA event and finished in 3rd place. Congrats Darryl and welcome to the Division 5 ranks.
Our next event will kick of the 2019 tournament year @ So. Watuppa Pond, Fall River, MA on April 7, 2019 and please don't forget to register.

Congratulations and thank you to all of the ABA New England East anglers for a great year. 2019 promises to be even more exciting! To register for any of our events, or for general questions about this trail contact Director Dan Rose at drose116@comcast.net
